![]() ![]() For the beasts, the pets seem like a nice, light snack but guided by Roger’s street smarts, the stranded creatures – especially Sophie and Belle – show hidden qualities and tremendous fighting spirit. ![]() Their journey takes them through the City Zoo, now the sole territory of a trio of beastly predators: ASGAR the tiger, STAN the hyena and VICTOR the Komodo dragon. How shall the pets survive in this increasingly hostile situation? ![]() Now they’ve all got one thing in common - their masters and mistresses neglected to pick them up before they hurriedly left town. There’s RONALDO, a Royal Poodle obsessed with his awesome pecs bawdy and boisterous Bush Pig SOPHIE the straight-laced, pessimistic Pug WALTER chilled-out, fruit smoothie addicted, Red Panda SLOMO and of course the magnificent Belle herself. This soon leads Roger and Bob into being stranded at ‘Pamper-Pets’, a luxury, wellness haven for the spoiled pets of the city’s elite.Īt Pamper-Pets, Roger and Bob encounter a motley crew of eccentric animals. Stone uses his machines to swiftly scare away all the human inhabitants of Robo City. Mayor FRANK STONE has apparently gone insane and is about to evict all living things from Robo City in order to make it a ‘Robot-Only’ place. However, it soon becomes clear that their troubles have only just begun. In the midst of the chaos he meets BOB, a discarded ‘emo-bot’ (a robot with feelings was not the most successful business idea) and together they barely get out alive. When Roger returns from his heated encounter with Belle to the run down ‘Old Town’ of Robo City, he’s immediately confronted by bulldozers about to demolish his home. One day, when robbing her mistress’s apartment, he has a run in with the beautiful, Siamese, society cat BELLE – it’s the classic dog vs cat showdown. The last stray dog in town, he steals food from the rich and distributes his booty amongst the less privileged animals of the city. ROGER is the ‘Robin Hood’ of the hypermodern metropolis, Robo City.Natalie DORMER, Eddie MARSAN, Stephen MANGAN.But if they want to survive, they’ll have to overcome their prejudices and work together to escape the clutches of the robots programmed to destroy anyone left behind. Roger thinks the pets are spoiled and uppity, and the pets are offended by Roger’s mange and criminal background. Without an owner to make sure he got out safely, Roger gets left behind-along with a few other pets whose owners weren’t able to collect them before being forced out of the city. Using the robots as an army of enforcers, he kicks everyone out, leaving the once-thriving city a remote ghost town. Frank Stone decides that RoboCity is too good, too pure for all the imperfect people residing there. He’s made a bit of a reputation for himself as “The Thief of RoboCity.” Truthfully, this pup only steals what he needs to survive, but when you’re the only culprit in an otherwise squeaky-clean world, it paints a pretty big target on your back.īut then the unthinkable happens. ![]() Roger is one such stray who lost his owner long ago. And robots are programmed to serve them all-except the strays, that is. Pets get to be pampered by their human masters. Humans get to live in a clean, crime-free city. RoboCity was created by its mayor, Frank Stone, to be a happy, perfect little utopia where humans, animals and robots could live together in harmony. ![]()
